QUALIFICATIONS TO BECOME AN APPROVED TRAINING AGENT

  • Employer is within the geographic area of the program standards
  • Cannot be registered to another committee as a training agent for the same occupation in Oregon
  • Must have continuous coverage of workers compensation insurance
  • Oregon CCB Registration (or Oregon Corporation Division)
  • Employer must abide by all Oregon Wage and Hour laws including PWR
  • Employer must provide proper supervision and maintain ratio of journey-level technicians to apprentices (Click here for current Apprenticeship Ratio Data)
  • Respond to JATC annual wage survey
  • Attend any mandatory training agent meetings
  • Ensure apprentice safety, attendance of required related training, and monthly progress report submissions

*HVAC Training Agents must have a LEB holder per apprentice
