Construction industry companies are experiencing a severe shortage of willing and qualified craft professionals. Nationwide, this shortage amounts to nearly 1 million skilled craft workers in 2020.

ABC is partnered with NCCER to help close that gap. ABC has launched a campaign to provide local area high schools with information and resources about the exciting career opportunities in the construction industry.

NCCER offers over 40 construction-related curriculums. The most popular with our high schools are:
        • Core Construction
        • Construction Math
        • Carpentry
        • HVAC
        • Welding
        • Sheet Metal
All of which your instructors can be certified to teach after receiving certification from ABC.
After students finish modules and exams related to a topic listed above, your student will receive certification in that particular construction field, they will also have access to an NCCER transcript that they can submit to potential employers. This education gives students a huge benefit after graduation, and we have multiple ABC member companies ready to hire them!

We sponsor numerous Oregon High Schools to teach the NCCER curriculum. This education not only provides students with an introduction to a career in construction but also gives students nationally recognized, certified skills that they can carry directly onto the job site.
